Well, it'll never be the same. But if they had a guitarist that was confident enough to take the lead, or not always have to wait for direction from the older boys, they could be more interesting.
The guitarist in the show just had cancer treatments, but they had a tendency to go on too long. Jerry would have just taken the lead, at least mostly before his re-relapses.
Sharing the vocals on Jerry songs took some of the focus off the missing man; seemed like a good approach.
